Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about Daily Tools Go. All site content is in English.
General
- What is Daily Tools Go?
- We are a free website of online tools for everyday tasks—text and data helpers, an expense splitter with shareable links, daily sticky notes with optional Google save, a sample JSON generator, a Lorem Ipsum generator, and more. You use them in your browser; most tools need no account.
- Do I need an account?
- Most tools need no login. The Expense Splitter works by giving you a link to your group; we store that group’s data on our server so the link works, but it is not tied to a named user account. Daily Sticky Notes lets you use today’s list in the browser only; optional Google sign-in saves notes by date on our server.
Daily Sticky Notes
- How does Daily Sticky Notes work?
- Add short single-line notes and mark them complete with a checkbox. Without signing in you can only edit today; data is kept in your browser. With Sign in with Google you can pick any date, sync notes on our server, and download a CSV backup. There is a maximum number of notes per day (shown on the tool). Older calendar dates may be removed after the retention period in our Privacy policy.
Expense Splitter
- How does the Expense Splitter work?
- You name a group, add people, then add who paid and how much for whom. You get a single URL to share—anyone with the link can view the group. This is useful for trips, roommates, or teams splitting costs. See also our Privacy page for how long data may be kept.
- Is my identity linked to a group?
- We do not require sign-in; we only store what you enter for that group (names, expenses, currency). Do not put sensitive personal data you would not want others with the link to see.
Sample JSON Generator
- What is the Sample JSON Generator for?
- Developers and testers often need fake JSON that looks realistic. Our tool helps you generate structured sample data for demos, unit tests, or API prototyping. Adjust the options to control depth and size where the tool allows.
Lorem Ipsum Generator
- What is Lorem Ipsum?
- It is placeholder text (traditionally Latin-style) used in layouts so designers can focus on structure before final copy. Our Lorem Ipsum Generator lets you produce the amount of text you need for mockups or templates.
