How to use Daily Sticky Notes

  1. Guest: Add up to 15 single-line notes for today (about 20 words each). Use Add more, type one line per note, and check completed when done. Data stays in this browser until you clear site data.
  2. Sign in with Google to save notes on the server, open any date with the calendar or Previous / Next / Today, and use the same notes on other devices.
  3. After signing in, if you still have guest notes for today, use Save them to your account once for that date (only if the server has no notes yet for that day).
  4. The header above the list turns blue when any note is incomplete and light green when every note is done (or there are none).
  5. Export CSV downloads all server-saved notes for your account—useful before you hit the per-day limit or for backup. Notes whose calendar date is older than the retention period may be removed; see Privacy.

Maximum 15 notes per day, each up to about 20 words (150 characters max). You can edit text, toggle completed, or remove a note with the trash control.

Simple daily routine that works

Many users keep this list intentionally short: 3 to 7 items for the day, each one written as a single action (for example, “Send invoice”, “Review pull request”, “Call clinic”). Short notes are easier to finish than long planning text.

A practical pattern is: add tasks in the morning, check off during the day, and quickly clean unfinished items before ending work. If you sign in, you can move across dates and keep a lightweight habit log.

Common confusion points

  • Guest mode is local: if you clear browser storage or switch devices, guest notes are gone.
  • Date navigation needs sign-in: guest users can edit today only by design.
  • Import is one-time per date: guest notes can be imported only when that date has no server notes yet.
  • Retention applies to server notes: old entries may be removed after the retention window in the Privacy page.

Daily Sticky Notes FAQ

Do I need Google sign-in to use this page?
No. You can use it as a guest for today. Google sign-in is only needed for multi-date sync and cross-device access.
Can I use this as a full project manager?
This tool is intentionally minimal and day-focused. It works best as a personal daily checklist, not as a full workflow system.
What is the best backup option?
If you use sign-in mode, Export CSV gives you a portable backup of server-saved notes.
